The Hunt

The rustle of the bushes broke the silence as the she-wolf burst out from her hiding spot. Her paws scrabbling at the cold earth as she frantically tried to flee. Finally retaining her footing the wolf darted away.

“Damn it,” the hunter cursed lowering his rifle. He’d been waiting for this moment for the past week and finally when he got a clear shot something had spooked her. The wolf had fled. Without another word the hunter crept silently through the foliage in the direction she had gone.

Surprisingly the wolf hadn’t run far, he found her sitting by a rock ten minutes from where they had just been. She was licking a wound on her paw from one of his traps. She whined a bit before lowering her paw to the floor.

Nicholas lowered himself to a prone position, lying silently on the floor. Aiming his rifle he stared at the she-wolf through the high powered scope. He focused on one of her eyes. Strangely for a wolf of this region this female possessed sky blue eyes. They were intelligent and filled with sadness, did it know he was about to kill her? The fact amused the hunter greatly.

He blinked once and suddenly realised the wolf had vanished. A twig snapped behind him panicking he spun around and fired his gun...eyes widening as he saw the startled lady who stood there then taking in the bullet hole in the tree just inches from her face.

The hunter quickly got up and apologised, the woman didn’t reply she just stood there frozen to the spot in fear. He took the chance to study the girl who he had very nearly killed. She was about two inches shorter than him her raven hair was wild and long, her crystal blue eyes would have been mesmerising if not for the fear in them. She wore some simple jeans along with an Indian style brown fabric shirt. Both accentuated her natural and quite beautiful curves.

Nick smiled and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, telling her she was okay and asked for her name. The lady smiled with her lush crimson lips and revealed her name was Lucy and she had come out for a walk as she lived nearby. Nick nodded remembering passing a small log cabin nearby it must have been her house.

He insisted he walk her home telling her about the wolf he’d seen but not revealing he was hunting it. Lucy just nodded thanking him for being a gentleman. Nick just smiled maybe wolf wasn’t the only thing he’d get to ‘hunt’ tonight.

Lucy’s cabin was a lot closer than he’d originally thought. She fumbled with the lock, Nick’s eyes dropping to her pert backside wiggling as she struggled to unlock it. Soon the door swung open, and she went inside.

Nick didn’t waste no time with his plan, he tackled her pinning her against the wall where he kissed her fiercely as she struggled pleading with him not to hurt her. Unfortunately for her he was going to do more than just hurt her. He chuckled, but that laugh soon faded when his eyes met hers again. The blue eyes were aflame with anger!

Lucy brought her knee up into Nick’s groin, the hunter fell backwards surprised. He was totally unprepared for the wild sweeping kick that smashed against his head sending him sprawling to the hard wooden floor.

She smiled as she fumbled with her belt buckle and shimmied out of her jeans and removing her top and standing above the worthless hunter resplendent in all her natural beauty. He looked on confused even as she crouched and Lucy’s flesh shimmered rippling as fur burst into view, her nails breaking off as scythe like claws shot out of her fingertips. Seconds later she was how she belonged, her true form and Nick screamed loudly even as the she-wolf pounced, claws piercing his shoulders and her razor sharp fangs sinking into his unexposed throat and her jaws snapped together. Blood splattering her fur she watched the man’s struggles grow weaker and feebler before he was finally still. His life ended and her world safe once more. Lucy let out an ear-piercing howl...
